Fear of Using One’s Talent

You’re so afraid of murder being the sin that you commit that you close yourself off the possibility that you were already committing other sins. Why are you so afraid of this one thing that you could do wrong? Yes it’s a terrible thing. But you’re not in danger of that. But what you are in danger of is isolating yourself so completely and thinking that you can never find a solution to this problem. Do you know what I think? I think you want to continue in this way. Because you can’t imagine a life any different. Instead of using your power for good, you run from it because of the fear that you will use it for evil. Have you ever considered that not using it at all, is what is evil? Is the evil? What you did for me has arisen a gratitude in my heart beyond – beyond the duty I owed you, to speak nothing of your relation to your mother. Out of gratitude for you I set off into the world to find your father and bring him home to her. But do you think about that? No. You fear doing wrong, and we commend you for it. I can’t fathom that fear. I agree and acknowledge that it is beyond me. But have you ever ventured down to the world with the sole purpose of looking for a solution to what you viewed as your curse? Have you ever asked why this happened to you? Or do you see yourself as a victim! A victim only, when you are one of the strongest women I’ve ever met. Stop wallowing, and start living.
