Reflection on Shakespeare’s Richard II

Richard II pushes his cold heart’s desires too far. He is too firmly entrenched in his own goals and pursuits, and cannot see when his fierce personality has gone too far. Just so, we are all bound to react to a crisis just as we have behaved up to that terrible day. We cannot see when we have gone too far.
